Grow with us at Common Ground Community Garden
The first Saturday of every month from 10 AM – 12 PM
2801 Morriss Road, Flower Mound
Common Ground at Church of the Resurrection is a grass roots effort to bring fresh, locally grown, organic produce to those in need and to promote earth stewardship and education in our community.
There are many ways to support Common Ground and gardening experience is not required. From planting, harvesting, preparing, and transporting to fundraising and community engagement, everyone is welcome in the garden!
We are open to the public, 7 days a week from 7AM-7PM. You do not need to be a member of our church or share our faith to participate in this garden. Common Ground is truly a community space and we are here to serve.
In addition to our First Saturday workshops on the first Saturday of every month, we host educational opportunities throughout the year. News and events are posted on our Facebook page. We’ve held lemon tree propagating courses, vermicomposting classes, hugelkukture workshops and many more. We are always doing something in the garden and we love to share our knowledge and passion with our community and especially, our youth.
Volunteers can help by selecting a task off our monthly chore list (posted on our Facebook page) or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org for individual or group projects. We also have children’s garden tools and free mammoth sunflower kits available for anyone interested.
Common Ground is 100% community sponsored. We host plant sales on occasion but our main fundraiser is through the purchase of our heavy cotton canvas logo market bags. These are wonderful for the Farmer’s Market or hauling gear around town. Bags are available for purchase for $20 at each of our garden events or by request. We also have an Amazon wish list for those interested.
Thank you for your support and dedication to growing food for those in need!
Peace & Carrots,
Common Ground Community Garden
