Worship Service Changes
As we move into the fall, attendance is increasing at our public worship services. In order to accommodate this increase, we will make two changes to our Sunday services starting October 11th.
New Start Times
Our new Sunday service times will be 9am and 10:30am. We've watched our 10am service bump up against the capacity limitations several times already. We anticipate these new service times will allow the earlier service to be more accessible for much of our congregation. This means that our live stream will also no longer be at 10am, but will coincide with our 10:30am service. Drive thru distribution of Communion will be available from 12 noon until 12:30 pm on Sundays after service.
Singing at Both Services
Both services will continue to follow the same safety protocols recommended by our diocese and public health experts. This includes pre-registration, masks, and social distancing measures. However, we will now sing at both services instead of only singing at the latter gathering.
Thank You, Church!
The challenges of this calendar year have been unparalleled in the life of our nation and parish, and we are so thankful for how well you have adapted to the necessary changes to our weekly gatherings. Yes, we've had our ups and downs like every other church this year, but your shared commitment to pursuing a rooted, restful, and relational life together is shining forth in this difficult time. Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord, one another, and our local community. Our hope is these two service times will remain constant until we relocate to the Cross Timbers Family YMCA after the sale of our current building.
It has been so encouraging to worship together both in person and through our live stream. Please join us in person on Sundays if you are able. For those not able to do so, we are delighted to continue offering our live stream of the 10:30am service and distribution of Communion in our drive thru.
