Vicky Gunning grew up in the small town of Stroud, Oklahoma and has loved Jesus her whole life.  In grade school she was deeply impacted by watching the Lord take over her entire hometown through revival.  Her prayer has been to see that again!  She serves as a volunteer staff member at Church of the Resurrection coordinating the prayer ministry and small groups (Mesa ministry) and is in the aspirancy stage of becoming a vocational Deacon.  She is a trained Stephen Minister and a graduate of the Selah Anglican Spiritual Direction program. Vicky enjoys the Lord's work through church governance; she served on the Leadership Council as Senior Lay Leader for several years and now serves on the Diocesan Council (governing board) of our diocese of Christ our Hope. 

 

Vicky retired as a partner from the international law firm Locke Lord LLP (now Troutman Pepper Locke) where she practiced commercial real estate and finance law for 34 years.  She served as Dallas Office Managing Partner and during her last 2 years of law practice she oversaw culture for the firm's 20 offices.  She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Accounting and from Southern Methodist University Law School.

Vicky has been married for 39 years to Michael and they have one adult son, Ryan, and two dogs.  She enjoys serving on non-profit boards, having breakfasts with friends, and is taking up playing the piano again for fun after many years as a busy lawyer!
