Early Childhood Caregiver Job Description
 

Hours: Sundays, 9:30 AM-11:30AM (most weeks), with additional evening hours on occasion

Pay: $25/hour


Reports to: Children’s Minister

Description: 
Church of the Resurrection is an Anglican church in Flower Mound, TX devoted to helping our children grow in a loving and safe environment. We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Childcare Employee to join our team, to care for children from birth through age five during our Sunday morning worship service. This person will support our church’s mission by ministering to children in their earliest years, ensuring they are safe, nurtured, and engaged so that parents can worship freely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Care for children ages 0-5 during Sunday morning service (9:30-11:30 AM).

• Read simple Bible stories to children and engage them in related songs, play, or crafts.

• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment for children.

• Ensure hygiene routines: diapering, feeding, hand-washing.

• Monitor for safety and respond to minor incidents, notifying supervisor of any concerns.

• Communicate kindly and clearly with parents/guardians at pickup.

• Occasionally assist for Sunday evening events when childcare is needed.

• Follow church policies regarding safeguarding and abuse prevention. 

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with infants and toddlers preferred.

• Able to pass a background check.

• CPR / First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

• Must complete MinistrySafe child abuse prevention training (provided by the church).

• Comfortable reading Bible stories.

• Excellent communication skills; patient, kind, flexible.
